Influences for “Girl of Mystery”
by Cassie Rose

"When I first started writing music, I didn’t know how to play an instrument. I had a fire burning inside me to express myself through songs, especially seeing I had such a wild imagination! I wrote melodies and lyrics and sung them with all my heart, trying to find my own vocal stylings as I went on.

My first songs were very country influenced; Shania Twain was a big part of that. But the whole reason I started writing music was because of the band Hanson. For them to be so expressive at such a young age, inspired me to find my own style of expression. I wrote about love, having fun, and being a “girl of mystery”.

Cassie Rose: "Girl of Mystery"

At age 12, Cassie Rose began writing music in a small desert town in Southern California. With the help of her sister Mary, within a year, Cassie had packed her bags, moved to Texas, and recorded her first record “Girl of Mystery”.

May 6, 1999, Planet Hollywood held Cassie Rose’s record release party, with over 500 people in attendance. From there Cassie performed the Dallas music scene and perfected her craft, forming her first band and learning to play guitar. Cassie was determined to go nowhere but up and started her adventure in the music industry.
