Hollywood High beginnings
by Glitter Rose

“When I discovered the greatness that is Motley Crue, I was in awe with the idea of a good time, party hard Rock n Roll band. I started writing up-tempo, punky, 80’s rock influenced songs and my band was stoked. We decided to change our tune, literally! The band was so much fun, and so were the parties!

We were bringing something back to the music scene that hadn’t been recognized in 20 years! And kids were loving it! We had one motto and we stood by it: Sex, Drugs, and Rock n Roll!”

Hollywood High : "Class of '69"

In the summer of 2000, Cassie discovered Motley Crue. Along with falling in love with the band, she changed her name to Glitter Rose and formed her own wild, crazy, out of control rock band with some members of her summer band. They called themselves Hollywood High.

They brought in the New Year with an amazing debut in February 2001. Shortly after they were asked to provide the title track to the independent film, Best Laid Plan, and got the opportunity to shoot their own music video that summer. They got airplay with 97.1 The Eagle and were a favorite at The Local Show with Robert Miguel at TREES in Deep Ellum, Dallas.
